Thank you to all who gave support to our primary campaign. I regret that I have failed you in my campaign to represent you.
I will continue to fight for you – as a private citizen instead of as your elected representative. I continue to believe that our interests have not been and will not be served by the incumbent. I also see no prospect that the challenger in November will do so.
That makes it more important than ever that individual citizens make their voices heard in the councils of government. I’ll be there, and I hope you will be there, too.
If I can serve you in the future, I will strive to do so. If you are so inclined to seek my assistance, feel free to do so.
Again, I thank you for your support during this close-run contest. I am humbled by the confidence you invested in me and I deeply regret that I have failed to earn a majority of the primary vote.
